Gauteng – The Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation team in Germiston arrested Adriraan Pillay (39) for alleged fraud and corruption involving approximately R130 million tender scam, Hawks Captain Ndivhuwo Mulamu said.

“The Hawks’ investigation ensued last year, 2020 following an internal audit that was done at the cellphone company which resulted in the arrest of Mohamed last month. He was released on a R50 000 bail.”
“Pillay was arrested on Friday, 5 February 2021 after a warrant of arrest was issued and he was subsequently charged with fraud and corruption. He appeared in the Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Crime Court on Monday, 8 February 2021 where he was granted a R50 000 bail,” Mulamu said.
