Pretoria – The Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini announced Sunday on the untimely passing away of his Excellency the Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini.
In a statement released on Sunday Eswatini Deputy Prime Minister Themba Masuku, said, “His Excellency passed on Sunday afternoon while under medical care in a hospital in South Africa”.
Masuku said, “Government in collaboration with the family will keep the nation informed of subsequent arrangements”.
Dlamini became infected four weeks ago and was brought to a hospital in South Africa. He had announced on November 16 that he had tested positive to Covid-19 but he felt well and was asymptomatic.
After being moved to South Africa, his deputy Themba Masuku said he was, “Stable and responding well to treatment”.
The 52 year old had been Prime Minister since November 2018.
