R200 000 bail for Ace

BLOEMFONTEIN – Former Free State Premier and current ANC Secretary General, Ace Magashule, has been granted R200 000 bail. He appeared before the magistrates court in Bloemfontein.

Some of the bail conditions are; If the applicant wishes to apply for a passport, police must be informed; Also the accused person may not make any contact, directly or indirectly, with the witness.

The secretary general handed himself in to authorities this morning.

Magashule is facing charges related to the R255m asbestos corruption matter in Free State.

The witness referred to is Moroadi Cholota, his former PA when he was Premier. She has turned state witness.
