JOHANNESBURG – Pule Mabe National Spokesperson of the African National Congress (ANC) said the party learnt on Tuesday afternoon through media reports of the issuance of a warrant of arrest against its Secretary General Comrade Ace Magashule.
Mabe said, “This afternoon, Secretary General advised the movement that he will be in consultation with his legal team to best respond to the latest developments and to guide any response on the matter.”
The ANC said it will be monitoring these developments closely and will accordingly communicate on any update should the need arise.
The Daily Maverick reported that Magashule is set to be arrested and charged for his alleged role in the Free State’s R255 million asbestos audit contract when he was premier of the province.
